South has definitely had more problems with Tyler Moore than any other pitcher they have faced this year because of all the different types of deliveries. He has a very effective side arm that appears to be hitting the outside of the plate and tails off a few inches to where you miss it.

If you haven't seen Moore before and he is on his game then watch out. South had much more success against all the other Watauga pitchers so the key is to jump on Moore early and get him out of the game (easier said than done). Good luck Watauga from the Spartans!! It is now up to South and Watauga to represent the NW4A and make the conference proud.

    Match ups

I will not be surprised to see Mt Tabor make this one of the best games in the State Tuesday. South Caldwell can pitch it, and Tabor has been hitting it well. Plus Tabor has two pretty darn good arms in Thomas and Batts. It's worth the trip, no doubt. This should be a 1-2 run game, and could go either way. Vogler and Rodgman can turn some pitches around.
Guarantee the Spartans WIN!!! Think about that one now!

oh yeah, and a couple more things........

    1. C - robbie swab can't hit like he has been hitting
    2. P - shane dickerson is going to have to "finish it off" - - solid all year on the mound, just needs to come get batters from watagua, Watagua's not used to this pitching
    3. 2B - trigga trav is going to have to have the game of his life(RD 1 - 4-4 HR, 4 RBI)
    4. SS - Christian Bailey will have to have another game like ROUND 1 - (no errors, 2 2bs, 3b, and a sac fly - - overall great night for him)

im sure east will do it, they've faced great pitching all year, no different tomorrow night

just remember - keep loose boys............JOES!!

Lol .... Didn't realize that both South Caldwell and Mt. Tabor were the Spartans. South Caldwell will have a huge crowd tomorrow night but we had better be careful and don't say something like 'Go Spartans' or we may motivate the wrong team.

I agree completely...Orenstein has to be hitting hitting somewhere around .430 this year with an incredible slugging percentage....if trigga trav gets off again tomorrow night like Rd 1 against Douglas Byrd the Pioneers could have their hands full

You are right about that one as well...from the games i have seen this year that kid can flat out play! Great approach from the right side of the plate with alot of pop in his stroke. he also handles the off speed stuff well for an underclassman (Soph)

they are really going to need the leadership of scotty banks and ryan dull tomorrow night......they cheer great from the dugout and have been inspirational all year....

not to mention, dull had a homerun friday night and scott banks had one against great valley, PA.....kid was throwing gas but scott just turned on it

this is a team full of leaders, but this two, along with robbie swab have just carried the load....on and off the field

Yeah I hear that these two are inspirational on and off the field. They encourage dinenr, movies, and even private sleepovers for team members. A very friendly team. That comraderie must certainly boost team morale.
