looks like the NPC is kicking butt this year. They'll have to knock each other out.

mooresville went up 2-0 in the first, glenn tied it at 2, then mooresville took a 7-2 lead before glenn scored two more to make it 7-4 in the 4th. after this, both teams went to their ace for the final 3 innings, glenn to parrish and mooresville to meadows, and neither team scored again. glenn started brandon harrison and mooresville started a small lefty, i didnt catch his name

    North Davidson 11 - Watauga 4

    WA 003 010 0.....4 5 3
    ND 260 102 X.....11 14 0

    WP - Zach White
    LP - Tyler Moore

Notes: North Davidson jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. The Black Knights were led by Levi Michael (2 for 3 with a double, 1 RBI), Tyler Hanover (3 for 4 with a double, 2 RBI's), Jordan Slate (2 for 3 with 3 RBI's) and Ben Redmond (2 for 4 with a triple and 2 RBI's). Zach White picked up the win, allowing 5 hits while striking out 8, walking 2 and hitting one batter. ND improves to 23-3 on the year and will meet Ardrey Kell in the next round of the NCHSAA Tournament.

Hats off to the Pioneers. Outside of the second inning when the Knights scored 6 runs on 5 hits, this was a close ballgame. Watauga finished the season with a record of 18-11 and will return some pretty good underclassmen. As has been documented on this site...they represent themselves, their school and their community with a TON of class!

Good luck to Watauga in the future!

    Hibriten 8 Shelby 4

Hibriten defeats a very talented well coached Shelby team tonight. Shelby jumps out to a 2 run lead in first on HR by Mabry. Panthers answer with 3 in bottom of first add 1 in 2nd , 1 in 3rd, 3 in 6th. Tuttle picks up 12th win of season. Congrats to Shelby on a great playoff run

Mooresville started the best hidden secret in NPC, Ian Walters. He was going real strong but is sufferring from a big toe injury.
