    Not really...

    ... no suprise here. Not to anyone who knows those kids and know they have been playing at a high level for many years. And Mark Peterson is an absolute bulldog on the hill. Congrats to the Spartans.

    Initial pitching stats (I'm sure someone will correct me if they are not exactly right - came to me via text): Petey threw a complete game shutout, walked one and allowed 3 hits while striking out 10. Way to go, Petey! Way to represent the Cap 7. If Leesville can make their 4-3 lead stand up, the Eastern Regional Series will consist of 2 Cap 7 teams!


    Edit: Oh well, it was a nice thought. Rose comes back to win it 5-4 over Leesville.

    Sanderson wins despite what TravisUNC says

    Thank you Travisunc for picking Hoggard, You are our good luck charm. I told you before about your picks.

    Mark Peterson pitched a one of a kind game.

    Sanderson ended up with 8 hits with
    Kyle Wood 2-3 and
    Kyle Wigmore 2-3 1 RBI
    Wig has had a hot bat during the playoffs. The last 3 playoff games he is
    6-9 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Oh yeah, plus 2 busted bats. One against Garner and the other against Hoggard.

    Sanderson has had 2 shutouts so far in the playoffs:
    Against Jordan 3-0 with Charles Wolfe on the mound and
    tonight with Petey against Hoggard 2-0.

    Great Job Spartans!! Solod players and the kind of performance I would expect from Mark Peterson and Company!! Wig has been tearing it up lately!! What a group of players!!
