Oxford SPANKED the Cary Bulls tonight, 8-1, in Cary.

I'll let the Oxford folk give the details because they deserve it. The pitcher, Blackwell(?) #4 was very tough all night.

Kinston whipped Edgecombe Co. last night 14-2. For Edgecombe there was 1 hit (1st inning) and nothing from then out and 7 errors:huh2:

Were very young!!! Several 2012's and 2011's.
We play Wayne County North Sunday, make up from last Tuesday.
Im told that Spiers Miller (freshman who played varsity) will start on the mound. Good athlete who needs some pitching time, didnt do much this year, we'll see how it goes. If you do not play good defense =trouble!!

Oxford was very fortunate to win 8-1 over Cary Bulls last night. A lot of hard hits balls right to someone. Justin Blackwell got the win giving up 4 hits, walking 1 and striking out 6. Joel Adcock, Ryan Allen, and Ty Breedlove had 2 hits each. Chris Hill, Trey Talley, Seth Lumpkins, and Dylan Newton(2B) had other hits. Next games for Oxford will be DH Sunday 25th at Northern Nash.

TheBaseballWarehouse... Good luck against N. Nash. They have a pretty solid team. You boys sure can hit the ball. Not making any excuses, but the Bulls really need to get their act together. Not playing good baseball right now at all... not winning situations. The Bulls have run into two very good teams... you guys and N. Nash.

Next up for the Bulls: @ Morehead City on Saturday, @ Beaufort on Sunday.

Hopefully the hotel we are staying in will have internet access so I can keep you guys posted on the weekend.

Southern Alamance B over Burlington Williams

    S. Alamance pitchers Evan Friddell and Tommy Marshall kept Williams hitters off balance all night. Williams pitching was not bad, but a multitude of errors allowed Southern to score 6 runs. I don't have the box score, but I don't think any were earned. Williams scored 1 run only. This is the Southern B team. All 2012s but a talented very young team.

    Southern Alamance A over S.A. B team

Southern Alamance Junior Legion A team came back from an 8-1 deficit after 5 innings to eke out a 10-9 win in the bottom of the 7th. The B team got 4 innings of top quality pitching from Lee Haithcock. Cody Moise, Nick Bosman and Tommy Marshall had multi hit games for the B team.
