But is baseball rich area of Charlotte, as good as baseball rich Greenville? :N1saywha:

Of course AK was battle-tested from playing in what might be the toughest conference in the state,,, but you know the Rose boys can play. Should be a great series.

My brain says Rose, heart says AK.

At the beginning of the year, most people remarked that a team must have two oustanding pitchers to reach the State Championship. And most baseball savvy people across the state recognized Jordan Darnell and Alex Wood as two of the best (one signed with Elon and the other with Georgia.)

As good as Ardrey Kell is they actually got better as the season went along. They are very much like Rose in that it is a very solid team. They don't make mental errors and are strong defensively. They have the type players that rise to the occasion during the game when afforded the opportunity. It's a very balanced group of seasoned and young players and they are led by an outstanding coach, Hal Bagwell. His team will be prepared.

But nobody would bet against RV. Their teams are like a dog hiding a bone. They don't share it. When RV's teams are in the State Championships...they own it.

Coach Bagwell has been fixated on winning a State Championship since his first experience in 1999. Every thought he has, every decision he makes is skewed towards winning the State Championship. They certainly have the top line pitching to succeed, a gritty group of hungry players...and the confidence to match.

Whoever wins the opening game will win the series. It rarely (thanks NC Fan) fails! I predict AK to win the opening game.

This thread makes me think of game 1 of the 4A championship series last year. Such a heartbreaker for those kids from Ashley High School! Unbelievable.
