After fifteen years as a HS baseball coach and then three as a HS softball coach I must agree the gurls can grow omn you much quicker than the guys for they show and speak their emotions unlike the guys! You are a ble to communicate and connect with them much more easily than the guys! I enjoyed tremendously the year I had at the Prov and in reflection proabably should have stayed! :38:

you guys are going to end up like me, daughter in college and i go to almost any hs game or tournament with quick driving range. my girls from our travel ball team (all in college) come to visit and will probably be here to just eat this weekend and i look forward to these sessions every year. yeah, they grow on ya, and become part of your family forever. i have one who is on her second child and i'm looking forward to teaching the oldest (2yrs old) to play the game, just like i did her mother at age 10....

    C'mon kill this thread!!!!
It's embarassing when somebody comes by and I'm sittin' here all teared up! lol

Ledford......awesome video. I wish I had a few of those memories on tape. It's amazing how in retrospect you're able to see how important each of those little faces have become in your life and in the life of your child.

    Lucky!

Was amazing how fast 4 years of HS ball went by! Luckily my oldest DD gets to play for another 4 years in college. Youngest DD has 3 more years in HS and hopefully another 4 years in college after that.

Don't think I'll know what to do with myself after that. Will probably be looking for some advice from TBR when it is all over.

    Hmm....

Sitting here thinking about the future, now that you all brought it up (thanks alot)......

It appears that I am done with softball in 2 more years, unless something dramatic happens.

2nd daughter is a basketball nut, she is 8 and doesn't like softball....:basket:

3rd daughter takes tennis lessons from a college coach, she is 6 and doesn't like softball......

Oldest daughter has 2 more years of HS, may not play her last 2 years, another story for another time and another place...but just play travel ball.....so then end is coming.

If I think about these songs (Your gonna miss this, Cinderella, I loved her first) I imagine what it will be like when C is not here and I :sadley:lose it. Many of you who know me know I am a sucker for girls and will do anything for a kid...

I don't know what the future holds, but it has been a great ride. :bigcry:

    Woody,
Thanks for the memories with the video. Were you calling pitches????

    What took ya so long?

I don't know what took all you men so long. I suppose it's a guy thang. I have felt this way since it all started in 10U. I don't know how much longer mine will play either. That's why I take pictures, so we will be able to remember.

Pictures take you right back. Here's one for you John.
