South Charlotte Sports Report All-South Softball Team to be named on Wednesday

    Our ballots have all been returned and we will name the All-South Softball team for the coverage area of The South Charlotte Sports Report on Wednesday, along with the Player, Coach and Freshman of the Year.

    Couple of real close totals on some players and a few that were named on every single ballot.

    We will post the team here on Wednesday to coincide with the printing of our next issue

    sounds interesting, and i know we've probably covered this in the past, but who exactly votes for these athletics? just curious

    Without naming names, I can tell you that the ballots went to a few high school coaches, 3 people that I know follow local softball by attending games almost nightly, and 2 people highly involved with showcase softball and our newspaper had one vote as well

    No fool proof way to do it, thats for sure, and no matter what way you do it, someone gets left off that should be on an vice versa.

    I feel like we could all coach this team and win a lot of softball games nationally :)

    SCS does an outstanding job with their selections......better than most in gathering the information necessary to make an informed decision.
