When is all district announced

    All-District/All-State Awards

    The Association recognizes outstanding achievement among the athletes of our sport. Each year, member and non-member coaches are given the opportunity to nominate players for All-District and All-State awards.
    These awards originate locally as selection committees across the state use their knowledge of area players to make selections based on information submitted by the coaches of their districts. Coach participation is vital to this process. The selection committees consist of Association members from all four classifications who demonstrate superior knowledge of the game and its participants.


    Timeline for the process.
    April 1: District committees are established prior to this date.
    Standard application for all-district/all-state nominations is made available on website with instructions.
    Last Friday of regular season: Applications for all-district/all-state must be received by the district chairpersons by this date.
    Prior to the state finals weekend: All-District teams are finalized by each individual district. Applications to be considered for all-state are then forwarded to the all-state selection committee with recommendations from the districts. District information must be turned in by State Finals weekend.
    The Friday following the State Games or the Friday just prior to July 4th week: All-state team is selected by this date.

    So they should be announced before Friday based on this am i correct?

    All-District

    To clarify, the All-District selections must be turned in to the Association this weekend at the Stae Finals. Some of the Eastern Districts will be bringing their selections to the Finals. Hopefully, we can get all the information tied together and get them announced next week on the www.ncfastpitch.org website.

    All the information is being forwarded to the proper channels. We are working diligently to get the All-District teams posted on www.ncfastpitch.org this week. I will make an announcement as soon as they are posted.

    I think it is pretty sad when our district has 57 schools total, with 23- 3A schools and ONLY 3- 3A schools participated. That tells me we have some coaches that really don't care one way or the other. This is disappointing to say the least! Good job to the coaches who turned in the players and congratulations to the players selected!
