Congratulations Rose for an outstanding win. It sounds like both teams left it on the field

Guess the AK fans will log on in the morning........

At this time, I will just say Rose left a lot of runners on base tonight... looking forward to tomorrow...

No, am enjoying it immensley! Savoring it! Relishing in it! Just making the observation that we left a lot of runners on, but that is a credit to AK pitching!

    Looking forward to tomorrow!!!

Oh, okay. Now I understand. Tell me something about the game that you couldn't tell by following the stats.

    My observations

Rose is bigger and stronger than AK. Wilder and Darnell threw very well. Both teams had three errors for the game with each team getting an error on a wild pick off attempt at first. Both teams played well enough to win on defense. Rose got the big hits when they needed them.

After seeing both teams tonight Rose appears to be the better team. But tomorrow that could change. Both teams played hard and it was a very competitive game. The Steel "SP" kid is a stud. He is about 6'8 hits from the leftside and can really run. That kid can swing it. Rose has a deep bench with several guys on it that can come in and deliver.

It should be a fun day at Zeb's Lawn on Saturday.

Quick summary since its late. Darnell throws very well, but gets tough breaks on a pass ball to score JHR's first run and a pop up misplayed by 2b & RF that falls in between them with 2 outs to score the second run. Interesting that the harder he threw over the last 3 innings 89-93 the better Rose liked it. Had pitchers count with 2 strikes many times only to see a 90mph fastball stroked for a hit. Rose scores 3rd run with 2 out by an 0-2 fb stroked for a single and a 3-2 fastball stroked for double to score the tying run in the top of 6th. Crushing blow came in top of 8th when after unsuccessful bunt attempts Rose batter hits 0-2 pitch into RF corner for a triple scoring the 2 winning runs. They have no problem with a 2 strike count and that comes from being well coached.

Rose is bigger and stronger, but the game turned because of 2 out hitting. AK couldnt touch the curveball of the Rose pitcher who continually grooved it for a first pitch strike. There will be more of the same pitching tomorrow from Rose, but I suspect AK will have a better gameplan at the plate on Sat.
