    Thats a great story. Sorry I missed you this weekend. Man was I bored staying at home. My son goes off to App State to play baseball for the weekend. My wife goes to the coast with her family. "Are you going to be alright staying here at home all by yourself." "Yeah I will be alright. I will just hang around the house and see you when you all get back."

    Lets see Friday at the Mudcats Stadium watching Jim Leggett and the Rocky Mount Gryphons play East Rowan. Then sitting in "Cat Tails" in the AC with Q and Grayben watching Greenville Rose play Ardrey Kell. Then on to Saturday going back to the Mudcats Stadium to see RM and Rose win state titles. Then another boring day at home by myself on Sunday hanging out at the US Olympic Complex with Q and Coach Evans. Just watching Elon and UNCW then UNC and UNCW. Man I hate these weekends alone at home!

    Things like that is what makes people like me wanna get off my butt and work even harder and quit complaining. Because everyone knows in the back of their head, if a kid like that can do that against the odds, then who am I to sit and complain about my life. I have 2 legs...that kid has 1, and he's still going. Just as hard as everyone else. Stories like that open your eyes to who you really are, and where you really want to go.

    Yeah he's missing a whole leg. Thats obvious. But what I noticed more was HE was OUT-HUSTLING everyone. He used hustle to overcome his situation.

    Grit and determination.

    Now Im going to look at 2 legged, 2 armed ball players a whole lot differently. When they make the easy difficult Im just going to shake my head and think about this kid. I'll be thinking, "Adam Bender would a made that play!"
