DII kids out of North Carolina

There have been a lot of DII kids from North Carolina drafted this year.

10th - Alex Castellanos, Cardinals - Belmont Abbey College
13th - Jason McEachern, Rays - Wingate University Signee
    14th - David Thomas, A's - Catawba College
23rd - Casey Hodges, Braves - Mt. Olive College
    24th - Jason Morales, Royals - UNC-Pembroke
25th - Jerry Sands, Dodgers - Catawba College

I would assume that there would be there would be a couple more near the end of the draft. A couple to look for...

Ryan Schlect, P - Mt. Olive College
Tim Smith, P - Catawba College
David Cooper, SS - Mt. Olive College

Good year for DII, Carolina kids. There were several others from South Carolina too. This says a lot to me about potential recruits out of high school. I understand the opportunity to play in the ACC, but don't give up on DII too early. A lot of great players.

    * If anyone wants me to profile these kids, I will. I've seen these guys many times *

I thought Sappelt went to Southern Alamance? I know they had two Sappelt brothers (David and Thomas?) go through there that were great football players and both could mash the baseball. Come to think of it the younger one transferred to another Alamance County school.

    Doubt it...

Seth had a subpar year for his standards.. I'm sure that didn't help him. Breslin has a couple open offers for indy ball, but I don't think he was ever a draft guy.
