    in the past, it's been because martin plays SUPER tight when we get into the postseason.

    this time, the pitching could have been sharper. the errors KILLED us -- three by the SS in game 1 is why fsu lost. fsu isn't a good team on the basepaths, and they took themselves out of a couple of innings this time.

    needed to have some clutch hitting and it didn't come through. one guy left 10 men on base yesterday. with four Ks. that hurts.

    yep. he hasn't been very solid all year, though.

    he had 30 errors this year. next closest had 12.

    no kidding. Threw Johnny Wholestaff out there tonight and still shut the Heels down. Didn't see the game yet.

    Hard road out of the losers bracket now for the Heels.

    It seemed like all their pitchers had ERA around 6 and were just hitting every corner. That Muno kid is a pest. He never seems to get out

    #1 national seed Miami loses to Stanford and is eliminated. A #1 national seed has not won the CWS since 1999.

    Miami final record something like 53-11.
