    Mooresville beats S. Rowan pretty handily last night. Getting a little rest for the playoffs.

    I think the record is 12-3. Low number of games due to high school playoffs. One of the RM assistants is the jr. legion coach. Only boys that attend Rocky Mount High School play on the RM jr. legion team.

    2 great games played with lots of hitting, and some big defensive stops as well. Only a couple of errors all night. Well played and fun to be a part of.

    Oxford: Chris Hill 3 hits, Andy Richmond 3 hits, Trey Talley 2 hits, Ty Breedlove 2 hits, Cory Hicks 2 hits, Seth Lumpkins 1 hit, Patrick Whitt 1 hit, and Will Bullock 1 hit.
    Whitt gets win in game 1 with Hill getting save.
    Hill, Richmond,Talley and Breedlove all throw well in game 2.

    Will Bullock pitches complete game shut out. 6 hits, 2 BB's, 8 K's.
    Ryan Allen 3 hits(2B,3B)(5 RBI's) (within about 5 feet of hitting for cycle). Made up for crappy hitting against Bulls. Cory Hicks & Trey Talley 2 hits each, Andy Richmond, Seth Lumpkins, and Patrick Whitt 1 hit each.

    7/5 at Ahoskie (DH) 2 PM
    7/11 playoffs
    26-7 overall 11-1 conf.

    WS-Randolph rained out, WS leading 3-0 top of second when the heavens opened. Worst lightning storm I have been in for a long time.

    Rocky Mount finished up the regular season with two wins over Pitt County Post 160 on back to back nights.

    Wednesday night @RM

    RM-10
    PC-0

    6 innings

    WP-Benton Moss(2011)-Moss has struck out 27 in his last 15 innings


    Thursday @Pitt

    RM-9
    PC-8

    Jeremy Trevathan(2011) picks up the win in relief of starter Parker Helms(2010). Catcher Thomas Berry(2011) was 3-3 with (2) 2B and a walk. Cameron Ramsey(2009) drives in the go ahead run in the top of the 7th for RM.
