    Any idea if the Corona team is from CA? Just asking since my sister lives in Corona CA. She has told me several times that they have some really good FP teams there so she might know some of the girls.

    Tina Melton pitched a great game. Great defense behind her.

    Great competition, strong hitting by both teams, only 3ks combined the entire game. Very small strike zone.

    Play two games tomorrow, 8am and 11:30.

    Great to see other carolina girls (Lady Blues) there supporting us, hope to return the favor.

    Tons of coaches!!!!!!!

    Blues scores:

    Blues 4 Fresno Force 3 Constance hits a home run

    Indiana Magic 5 Blues 3, had tying run on base in last inning but did not get them in.

    Play two tough teams today: Case Batbusters Gold and So Cal Diamonds Gold

    Both these teams are fixtures in ASA Gold Nationals, large number of coaches watching the Diamond team yesterday.

    Friday, July 4th @ the Independance Day Tourney
    Carolina Legacy went 1 and 1 for the day. Great game at 8:00, not so great at 11:30. Finished 3-2-1 in pool play. Start bracket play tomorrow, not sure yet, who or when until pool games are finished.

    CA Case Bat Busters 5

    So Cal Diamonds 2 (Jazz with the slam!)

    Blues were in every game and even tho we finished 3-3 we could have finished 6-0 if the ball had bounced our way a few more times.. especially in the bat busters game. Here is a list, incomplete, of the coaches who watched the last pool game today with the diamonds: Cal, FL State, Ball State, BYU, Penn, College of Charleston, UNCC, Ohio St, Mississippi St, OK St., Iowa St... and I am sure I am leaving some out. Tomorrow we start off bracket play against the St Louis Chaos...

    Outstanding performances by the Lady Blues. To beat not one but two Californina teams on the same day speaks volumes about the caliber of team coming from North Carolina. All of the teams from North Carolina have proven once again they are capable of playing with any team in the country.

    How did they draw the Chaos in the first round of bracket play? That is one of those games you would rather play later in the bracket instead of right off the get go, especially with the NC girls who play with the Chaos.

    And, not stirring anything up, but why do girls from NC play on teams such as the Chaos anyway? Just curious....

    NC teams showing well.

    As mentioned, the Lady Blues, as well as the Carolina Legacy Gold are showing the rest of the nation that there is some very good caliber softball being played in NC. Hope both teams can keep that strong showing going through bracket play. Chaos is definitely a very tough match up for the Lady Blues.

    Here is a scoring correction from the Blues two games played today.

    CA Case Batbusters Gold - 4
    Lady Blues - 2

    CA So Cal Diamonds Gold - 2
    Lady Blues - 4

    Lady Blues go 3 & 3 in pool play. (All 3 losses by 2 runs)

    my bad on the scores at least I had the winners and losers right!

    its hard to keep track of the scores and at the same time trying to keep the other eye on what coaches are watching/arriving/leaving


    and theres no doubt about the caliber of ball in NC and being competative. The teams were all evenly matched and the scores are indicative of it.
