Picture this, Watauga is winning 9-3 over Freedom in the JV game, and the coach for Watauga starts pinch hitting the subsitute players. With two outs and nobody on, the 9 batter walks bringing up a pinch hitter for the leadoff batter.

Then the coach says, "Dicus, your on deck." This put a huge amount of pressure on the batter that was up because he had to get Dicus an at bat. The batter precedes to walk on 4 straight pitches...bringing Will to the plate. The Watauga players were out of control pumped hoping for a hit.

First pitch, curve ball high. Next pitch fastball....and sure enough Dicus hits an opp field line shot into left field and I mean line shot for an RBI single to make it 10-3. His teamates went bulistic yelling and screaming for him. It was an amazing sight and if you were there you would know.

Watauga went on to win it 12-3 after being down 3-0 early. They busted out for a 9 run 4th inning and added 3 more in the 5th.

    Watauga (5-3 in conference)
    Freedom (1-6? in conference)

Just heard on the local radio that Will actually pitched this past weekend and recorded a win for the travel team up here. Just thought I would pass along this info.
