    tj, I am going to try and get up with Morehead City's AD... Hopefully I will hear something back Monday.

    Their playoffs want start until this coming weekend...I think each team has at least 2 games this week

    In the west the #1 seed Hope Mills plays the #4 seed hamlet starting on friday and the #2 seed Whiteville will play the #3 seed Scotland also starting friday. Bothseries will be best 3 out of 5 with the higher seed having home-field advantage.

    #1 morehead city post 46 plays #4 hampstead (sorry can't remember)

    #2 brunswick co post 68 plays #3 wilmington post 10

    Hope Mills defeated Hamlet post 49 tonight 10-0. The game got started with a bang in the bottom of teh 1st with a leadoff home run by Manny Beltran (his 1st of 2 on the night to go along with 5 rbi's). They were also led by Tre' Britt on the mound who threw a 7 inning complete game shutout only giving up 3 hits and striking out around 10 batters as well. Hope Mills was dominating the entire game as Hamlet did not have an answer for anything on defense or at the plate but as we all know baseball is a weird game and it could all change tomorrow......

    Whiteville Post 137 wins series 3-0 over Scotland Post 50

    Whiteville plays Hope Mills for Area II West championship.

    Hope Mills wins 1st game over Whiteville

    Score 1-0. Pitcher's duel. Robbie Penny, Whiteville, complete game allowed 2 hits. Tre' Britt, Hope Mills, 7 innings allowed 2 hits. Only difference was Hope Mills hits were back to back scoring the run.
