    Clayton and Roxboro Game 1 postponed.

    SSS high school took about 1 1/2" of rain around 6:00, post 71 worked on the field for an hour and it was still very sloppy, both teams agreed it would be safer to postpone the game.

    Schedule adjustments
    7/11/08 - Game 1 @ Roxboro (Person High) 7:00
    7/12/08 - Game 2 @ Clayton (SSS) 7:00
    7/13/08 - Game 3 @ Clayton (SSS) 7:00 if needed

    TBR does a pretty good job of reporting scores from Area I West. I know several of the Area I West coaches and I may be able to get it done, but most of my attention and time goes to the Cary Junior team right now.

    Congratulations to the effort made by Post 71 to try and get the field in playing shape for game 1 in instead of calling for an immediate cancelation. They recognized the situation for what it was for both teams. I doubt any of this "play ball" sprit will rub off on the Southern part of Johnston County.

    Clayton wins series 2-0. They will face Cary, who swept Garner 2-0.

    Durham 10
    Benson 0

    Durham wins series 2-0. I have not heard who won the second game of the Apex/ N. Raleigh series- the last update I knew of was Apex was up 1-0 in the series.

    Durham v Apex

    Apex swept N Raleigh, so they play Durham beginning Tuesday. Should be a good series against two competitive teams.

    Is this one a 3 of 5 series?
