Thanks to Fran and Danny Childress

I don't know how many of you know these two wonderful people. They have been a fixture for many years with Triangle Lightning 18U. Fran, the lady coach that ALL the girls love to "go to" and Danny teaches the girls how to get themselves recruited. They will be leaving North Carolina to move to Tenn. They will never know how much they will be missed!! They HAVE NOT had a daughter playing travel ball for many years now but give to the sport and all "their girls" their time and energy. Someone once helped their daughter get recruited so they stay in this sport to help others. The time, money, energy, aggravation...haha....they have put in just for all the girls who love playing softball.....how many of us can say we will do this for years to come after our girls are all done playing? This comes from deep in the heart that you will be missed and a big "THANK YOU" for all you have done in the name of fastpitch softball. We LOVE you and wish you luck in your move.

These two leaders in our sport have helped pave the way for many, many kids......all the while providing an absolute unconditional caring for whats best for not only thekids in their organization, but to all of us who have been blessed by knowing them. Hall of Fame. Good luck, Tenn. is getting two of the best. J

Fran always had a saying as I walked up and asked her how she was doing... " just a little less than perfect, but I'm working on it"

Can't say enough about these two. Two of the absolute best people in NC softball. Coach Storz at Elon once told me that Danny was the best bull***tter in softball around lol. Thanks for all you've done for both of my kids and my family. Here's a bar of Godiva to you Fran.

 

This is a shock! We shared some stories at states and it was special. Will miss both very much. Fran was always able to talk her way into or out of any situation, a princess! Danny was a silver tongue as well with a heart as big as a truck! NC will miss these two but Tenn has gained a pair of quality people! LOL and best to both of you! Send your new contact information.

 

Are the Weekly's Retiring?

Wonderful people! Always have a kind word and a way to make you laugh. They are definitely in it for the girls!

Sorry to hear your leaving!

Fran and Danny,
I had no idea till someone said wonder what will happen to the lightning next year? We had just finished playing the Triangle Lightning at the Hot times, and as Fran walked throught the line line she hugged me as she was saying good game. Had I know I would have spent the extra time talking and thanking her for the years of competition! The diamonds have always enjoyed playing the lightning since I got involved in this over 10 years ago. Good luck and we'll miss seeing you guys at the tournaments!
