    Mooresville advancing to round 3 with a win last night over E.Randolph. Good pitching from K.Little,J.Mason and W.Dumford. The bats finally woke up after being off for a week. B.Nantz had a grand slam and i think every starter had at least one hit. Mooresville will travel to play Asheboro at 7 on Monday.
    With this series being the best of 5 i think mooresville will have the advantage in pitching. We will see.

    #1 Rocky Mount vs. #4 Northern Nash

    Benton Moss(2011) gets the win in relief, going 6 innings and striking out 10. Catcher Thomas Berry(2011) goes 2-2 with (2) 2B and 3 RBI's. His twin brother, Matthew Berry, drove in the go ahead run with 2 outs in the 6th inning.

    Saturday:

    #2 Ahoskie vs. #3 Wilson

    Wilson wins. Don't know any details.

    #2 Ahoskie vs. #4 Northern Nash(losers bracket)

    #1 Rocky Mount vs. #3 Wilson

    Parker Helms(2010) gets the complete game win, giving up only 2 unearned runs. Helms was also 2-2 at the plate with 2 rbi's. Rocky Mount advances to the next round. Wilson will play Northern Nash Sunday at 3 to determine the second team to advance.

    RE: Area III playoffs.
    1.) What is the remaining match ups now that we have completed or nearly completed the first two rounds?
    2.) How many teams go to the States from area III?
    3.) Where are the state for jr's this year?
