Anyone have results from this huge tournament? I know the Smokey Mountain Sting was in the 16u, and a bunch of NC teams were in the 14u--there were twenty 14u's and fourteen or fifteen in the 16U.

CANIPE , I do not know any official results , I took these pictures @ the N. Spartanburg Complex on Old Furnace Road on Saturday . And that place felt like a FURNACE , man was it HOT .!!! They had some 10Us on one field and all of the 16Us on the other three fields , the 16U teams I saw play were TOUGH teams . I hear the Smokey Mountain Sting took their old nemesis the former GA Rockers to the IF game late last night . I missed it , Sunday morning my daughter was in the ER with an IV bag + 102 temp. and received 2 butt shots of penicillin and prednisone , with a diagnosis of dehydration and tonsillitis . She is on the 10 day DL list .

Just wanted to say that i haven't seen a kid play as hard as Pearl Foster played this past saturday under the conditions she was under. That was one sick little lady and still was hitting bombs in the heat of the day and she never let it slow her down. Sorry you missed yesterdays' marathon! Get well soon Pearl...

Yes, very tough competition. Smokey Mountain Sting played three games that went to international tiebreaker. One game went 10 innings... 2 hours and 10 minutes. We rolled in the driveway at 1:00 am this morning which made for a long work day, but it was a great and full weekend of playing ball. It was unbelievable how well the fields drained after such a hard rain yesterday. I never would have believed we would be playing ball on those fields last night.

Change-up, we really missed Pearl yesterday. You have two weeks to get her better before we go to Orlando! Keep pumping those drugs in her and tell her we love her.

The Magic did well. They were still there on Sunday and I think got beat out by the Southern Slamz, an aggressive hitting team, so they were probably in the top 6. I know they had some bad luck when at least one of the girls had her batbag stolen on Friday night. Someone said three bags were stolen on Friday but I don't know if they were all from the Magic.
