Maybe...MAYBE...in the future, before you publish false statements...i.e. he is going to prep school to get his grades up...you might...MIGHT want to forego speculation in lieu of informatioin derived from truthful sources. The kids about whom you write do NOT deserved your bias blogging, particularly when it is done, primarily for the purpose of "home team" cheerleading....which seems to fit your style quite well. We have all enjoyed your "final" posting...the first time, the second time and all future final postings.

    Dear Sir:

You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts. This is why I've returned to this thread.

Nowhere on my blog -or for that matter, here - will you find a mention of any New Bern player's name regarding his plans for college. I challenge you to do so. I've thrown down the gauntlet. Put up or shut up.

Message board postings and blogging are separate activities. Perhaps the distinction eludes your powers of discernment. I run my blog as professionally as I can. If that were not the case, I would blow you to smithereens on it.

Now crawl back in your hole. And please check in to the blog to see how the Area I East champs are doing.

    Clayton Post 71 - 5
    Durham Post 7 - 4

Clayton wins series 3-0, this was another classic Durham/Clayton match-up. There was some great baseball played between these two clubs this season, be sure to check them both out next season.

Clayton moves on to face Wayne County Post 11 in the area finals

Congrats to Vic Byrd and Clayton Post 71. We put up a fight in game 3, but it was Clayton's year. If these guys keep playing like they are right now, they're going to make a good run in Gastonia. I'm already looking forward to next year!

From Durham Post 7, we wish you the best and good luck.

    explain please

I'm not all that up to snuff on AL ball. So there's 4 areas in the State, and each Area championship is decided in a 5 or 7 game series? , but then all 8 of those same teams participate in a State championship series?? is this correct? or are there 9 teams in the State tournament including the host team??

    thanks.

Each area is administered "independently" of the others, therefore, while some areas may have a mixture of Best of 3's or 5's, some areas may have a mixture of Best of 5's & 7s. The state tournament consists of 2 teams from each of the four areas, inclusive of the host team, for a total of eight teams. Hope this helps.
