    MI Connection

They are supposed to be broadcasting Gary Trexler's audio on Channel 4, if you have cable with MI Connection.

I am not sure if I can do this or not. If I can't then remove this. BUT I do have a few complaints about some VERY obnoxious parents on some of the teams. I volunteered ALL FIVE days at these games, in the rain and in the heat. When the sign says NO COOLERS allowed and parents STILL try sneak them in and lie (in front of their children) and say the coolers are going in the dugout, I have a problem with that. These folks have played AAU and Legion ball for a long time and still try the crap. What were these parents teaching their kids? It is OKAY to LIE!? I am not going to mention any names of teams or parents, so don't even ask. I have a problem with coaches dropping the "F" and "GD" words while coaching the bases. I have a problem with PEOPLE in general telling us (Kinston) how they would have run this tournament. You will get your chance, run it your way then. SORRY, just had to vent!
Overall, the parents and ball players were GREAT. I saw a lot of wonderful sportsmanship and team spirit. Remember boys, ALL of you are winners just making it to the playoffs. Be proud and HOLD your heads HIGH

Congrates to Mooresville Jr.'s on their season. Good to see the kids progress from the coaching they recieved from the traveling teams of the Gators and Racers. Keep working hard as we are expecting big things in the future.
Also, congrates to the players and fans of Cary, sounds like alot of great baseball from all teams...

I agree. I sat as a fan from Rowan and heard an opposing coach drop the "F" word twice. I was sitting near the Legion officials and overheard a parent come and complain to them about the use of this langange. The official asked who it was and told the fan he hadn't heard it but would keep an ear for it.

As far as fans most were quite decent. Sometimes in the heat of cheering for your team there can be things said that are hurtful. While I did hear some of this at least it was between the fans and nothing out of hand. My biggest issue is with fans that make comments about the opposing players. For those of you that read this please understand that those kids are someone's kids, grandchildren and friends. There is never a reason to make negative comments like " easy out, or this kid can't hit, or hit it back at him and knock him off the mound..." I have coached ball for many years and have no problems with fans cheering as hard as they want for the team but I ask of us all to keep it positive when addressing the kids.

Congrats to all the teams who played some outstanding baseball this week!!!

As far as the entire tournament, I think it was run outstanding! I had an to opportunity to thank some of the volunteers and officials at the field. Please pass along to everyone you know our appreciation for a job well done!!!

I know these Mooresville boys about as well as anyone. Not a much better bunch of kids around. I'm sorry to hear of the loss, but I'm happier they made it that far. They got absolutely nothing to hang their head about. I'm proud of those kids, keep it up, there's almost always another shot.

    Congratulations Cary

Congrats to the Cary Team, Coaches and Fans on their 4th State Championship in 7 years. That's an impressive track record! Congratulations also to an historic run for the Mooresville Post 66 Junior program. First time to the "Dance" for the program and you made us very proud! Keep up the hard work and there will be more chances for this great team! Thanks also to the Coaches and the American Legion volunteers for the countless hours of field prep, practice, games and travel. As this year goes in the record books, we have a lot to look forward to in the future! See you at the ballpark!
