Post Impact World Series UNCW-16u & USC-17u Results

- I know that there are 10 teams divided into 2 pools and the top 2 teams from each pool advance to the finals.
- I also know that the Dirtbags only have 4 teams in their pool and there are 6 teams in the "other" pool.
- Please post gripes about "home cooking" by the Dirtbags somewhere else and let this one just be for results...thanks.

Great Run...

The South Charlotte Cougars made a great run this past weekend. Jeff Schaefer took what I believe was by far the youngest team in the tourny. and made it to the final four where The Cougars gave The Dirtbags a good test in the play in game to the championship.

Keep your eye on Schaefer and his Cougars program out of CBC in Charlotte. Class act.

 

SC Cougars (CBC) did in fact give the Dirtbags all they wanted Monday morning. Though they did lose 2 to 1, the Cougars had the tying run on third with the go ahead run at first, two out in the top of the seventh, but unfortunately couldn't get the run in. The Cougars pitching was excellent all weekend long.

For a first year team, Jeff Schaefer and Jake Robbins have assembled a very exciting young team that will turn heads this fall!

Cougars looked good this weekend with first five batters in lineup all 2011 kids.
