Sweet 16 Huntersville, NC

Saw some great softball played this weekend, was told the Foothills Heat 18u defeated the Carolina Cobras 16u twice to win the championship. The Cabarrus County Mudslingers finished third with a 5-2 we played some great ball and some not great ball lol, ended up losing to a tough Foothills Heat 18u team twice 5-2, and the last being 1-0 in a great pitchers duel. The Mudslingers will be playing next in Rock Hill at the Cardinals showcase.
Our scores for the weekend were:

Mudslingers 9-2 over Red Magic
Mudslingers 20-1 over Va. Wildcats
Mudslingers 6-4 over Lenior Panthers
Mudslingers 5-2 loss to Heat 18u
Mudslingers 5-1 winner over Triad Power
Mudslingers 7-3 winner over Lenoir Panthers
Mudslingers 1-0 loss to Heat 18u

Yes, was some very good ball playing in Huntersville this weekend. Some hard fought games against good competition. The fiercest was the Mudslingers and the Cobras. Obviously well coached, talented group of girls. Very strong all around, hitting, pitching, and defense. Congrats to the FootHills Heat on the win, going 6-1!

Congrats to MSA Maniacs for 2nd place in the B bracket! Very talented and hardworking girls at this tournament.
