    Kings Mountain High School and Heat Showcase 09 standout Jeff Howell commits to Gardner-Webb. Jeff has had a great summer with the Heat, on the mound and at the plate.

    Congrats to Jeff, Scott and Becky. GWU is getting a great player and an even better young man.

    Jeff was outstanding on the mound at this Impact event this summer. Good luck to him and I know his Dad must be very happy as well.

    Super opportunity for all involved! Jeffrey is a leader of this quiet bunch of talented players and coaches. Unusually talented kids who all get along and play hard! Look for more to come soon! Thanks Jeffrey for leading the way! Top to bottom, great bunch of folks!

    And BTW.. We gotta keep em all together or at least close for those trips to the laundry mat/dog pound!

    Its an exciting time of the year seeing all these young men realize their dream of playing at the next level. Congrats and now you can focus on your high school senior year and not have to worry about the college choice. Good luck.

    Congrats!

    I got to know Jeff and the Howells a couple of years ago and have total respect for the family and Jeff's abilities. He will pitch and play great at the next level!!

    Thanks everyone for all the well wishes for Jeff. He is excited and relieved now. It sure was a big help using advice that we found on TBR and from some members here also.

    By the way OAC I searched every laundry mat at ECU this weekend and none of them were up to par.

    Then we'll have to open our own!! Laundry mat / dog kennel!! Yeah! What a great idea! Seems like that may not be a new idea..

    Again!! Sure am proud of Jeffrey!!
