The Cobras finshed somewhere between 25th and 32nd. Thanks girls and parents for seven great years and alot of great memories. We have made alot of friends over the years and will miss being on the field next year.

Congratulations to the Lady Blues for the seventh place finish, thanks Rodney and Greg for the support. On the field we were rivals, but came together at the nationals to cheer each other on. Good luck next year.

Lamont Rockers won A Nationals going undefeated. Minnesota Elite, 2nd, Cole Minnows, third, and Alabama Pride fourth. The Rockers and Pride were the teams that beat the Blues, 5-4 and 4-2.

    The Lady Blues @ 18U A Nationals

Just thought I'd post a picture of the Lady Blues squad that finished 7th out of 119 teams at the ASA 18U Nationals that were held in Moline, IL. last week. These young ladies played some awesome ball, and made a statement to teams from around the nation, that the brand of ball played here in NC is pretty dog gone good!

Pictured in top photo below from left to right: Front row - Keeli Michael, Kelli Beres, Kara Gordon; Middle row - Austyn French, Stephanie Spain, Shaundee Woosley, Erica Gross Back row - Jessica Bonham, Stephanie Simmons, Jennifer Bonham, Taylor Beam, Taylor Allen, Constance Orr

    Great Job LB's

Outstanding job by the Lady Blues. Seventh place finish is awesome. Fun to read about this team all year and wish them the best of luck. Fastpitch99 thanks for sharing the details when you won or lost. Enjoyed reading about your team.

Congrats to the Lady Blues on the awesome finish at Nationals. 7th place is something the girls, coaches, parents, family and friends can be very proud of. Great job! Another shoutout goes to the Carolina Cobras for a well respected performance at Nationals. Both the Lady Blues and Cobras continued to make sure all those teams know what NC fast-pitch is all about.

Now do the Lady Blues get an automatic berth to the 2009 ASA Nationals for finishing in 7th place? I wasn't sure how that worked or if they have to re-qualify.
