Daniel Brown commits to Liberty

    Daniel Brown, RHP, Broughton 09 has commited to Liberty University.

    Congratulations to Steve and Pam for bringing up such a determined young man. We have played with Daniel since he was 9 and he was always the "little kid" that all the coaches would bring on as their 10th or 11th man. Well.....look at him now!!!! He is still a "little kid" as far as today's D1 pitchers are concerned. It's just great to see a young man that the "experts" say is too small for his position, persevere and have success.

    We are proud of you Daniel!!

    :clapclap:Daniel -- great news and congraulations.

    My favorite Daniel Brown baseball game was when my son Max was Daniel's catcher in a big AAU game vs national power house Beaver Valley Red in Virginia Beach. Daniel pitched our team to a thrilling 6-0 upset win and you should have seen the huge smile on Daniel ( and his Dad Steve). I still have the pictures as proof!

    You have continued to work hard and you have gotten better each year. Now you know why you were working so hard these past years.

    We still have the 2009 CAP 7 season to see you in action before you leave the Raleigh area -- best of luck at Liberty.

    Braves -- This is the picture that you requested. I had to get the copyright from Daddy Brown. It brings back so many fond memories of the VA beach trip. I believe this is about four years ago. Go AAU Red Wings!

    just for the record, the handsome man in the picture is Coach Kline - thanks for the nice comments about Daniel - we are thrilled with his decision and the opportunity presented at Liberty
