You know it's hard to believe that Rowan's season ended two weeks ago and it feels like it's been two months. I can't imagine if they were still playing. You know those teams left have to be worn out. But these are the best of the best. I would like to go to the Legion World Series considering it's so close, but it's just so hard to want to go when you don't have a rooting interest. Good luck to the teams that are there.

    MIA from the gridiron??

Wonder if any of the young men playing at the Legion WS are missing from their HS football teams that may have had a game tonight in whatever State they are from?? and I'm assuming all are missing from the start of HS or college classes.

I would say so considering they are still playing baseball. Most colleges and schools started this past week or this coming week. I would be bad if you had to miss your first football game of the season, especially if you were a senior.

Sumter beats Bristol 5-3 last night,,,,, and yes these boys are now missing class, but at this point in the season, its worth it, its once in a lifetime experience and they will be excused.

Games begin this morning in about 30 mins.
