    [IMG]Inland Tropical Wind Warning[IMG][IMG]
Statement as of 2:58 PM EDT on September 05, 2008

... Tropical Storm Wind Warning remains in effect from 7 PM this
evening to 8 am EDT Saturday...

    ... New information...

The center of Tropical Storm Hanna is now about 310 miles south
of Wilmington as it nears hurricane strength and moves quickly
    northward.

A Tropical Storm Wind Warning remains in effect across interior
portions of southeastern North Carolina and northeastern South
Carolina. A Tropical Storm Wind Warning means tropical storm force
winds are expected within the next 24 hours.

    ... Areas affected...

Interior portions of southeastern North Carolina and
northeastern South Carolina including Robeson... Bladen...
Columbus... Dillon... Florence... Marion... and Williamsburg
    counties.

    ... Watches/warnings...

No additional hazards are in effect.

    ... Storm information...

At 2 PM EDT... 1800 UTC... reports from an Air Force Reserve
hurricane hunter aircraft indicate that the center of Hanna is
farther east than earlier reported with the center of Tropical
Storm Hanna located near latitude 29.8 north... longitude 78.5
west or about 310 miles south of Wilmington North Carolina.

Hanna is now moving toward the north near 20 mph... 32 km/hr. This
general motion is expected to continue for the rest of the day.
A turn toward the northeast with an increase in forward speed is
expected on Saturday. On this forecast track... the center of Hanna
will be near the southeastern coast of the United States tonight.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 70 mph...
115 km/hr... with higher gusts. Although no significant change
in strength is forecast before landfall... it would only take a
small increase in wind speed for Hanna to become a hurricane.
    Weakening is expected after landfall.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 315 miles...
    510 km from the center.

The latest minimum central pressure reported by the hurricane
hunter is 981 mb... 28.97 inches. NOAA buoy 41010 reported a
pressure of 979.7 mb as the center of Hanna passed over it a few
    hours ago.

    ... Winds...

Sustained tropical storm force winds are expected to develop
this evening... and continue until just before daybreak Saturday.
Wind gusts near 60 mph are possible tonight. Some damage may
occur in Mobile home Parks and to weak trees. Newly planted trees
and shrubs may be uprooted if not secured properly. Lawn
    furniture
and lightweight outdoor items should be tied down or moved
    indoors.

    ... Inland flooding...

Rainfall amounts of 3 to 7 inches are likely along the track of
the storm. This amount of rainfall could result in flooding of
normally flood-prone locations with poor drainage.

    ... Tornadoes...

There is a slight risk of tornadoes later today and tonight.

    ... Next update...

This statement will be updated around 6 PM EDT

    Hi PTP,

Nice steady rain as of about 945. Trees off my balcony at the Courtyard are dead still.

Our team is scheduled now at 10:00. I honestly don't think we'll play at 10:00, but if the weather guessers are remotely close, I think we may well be playing by noon.

We're 3 1/2 hours from home.....about an hour from home there was a tornado warning a short while ago.....

    Delayed

Fields were in terrible condition. VERY muddy. Finally played our first game after a two hour delay. Only one quad of fields were open yesterday the "lower" complex was closed d/t to poor field conditions. I felt bad for pitchers trying to pitch with 1/4 inch of mud on their shoes all day as well.

I did see Pfieffer and one other college (couldn't see the logo) that braved the storm to make it to Florence.

Weather was sunny and hot after noon.
