    He is an unbelievably talented young man and equally as gifted as a person. His dad, Rudi and his mom, Renee, should pat themselves on the back for raising such a fine young man.

    Cameron is now playing for the Carolina Mudcats in Zebulon, NC.....i am going to see him play Sunday.... anyone else interested in seeing this native son?

    Absolutely. The Mudcats feature a starting outfield made up of all NC kids. Maybin, Catawba native, and Clemson Alum Kris Harvey, and Four Oaks, and UNCW Alum John Raynor.

    I remember watching John at South Johnston. What a pleasure to watch as a high school player. Incidentally, not a bad choice of colleges either!!

    Fun relaxing day at a fabulous ballpark today with SoutherNo1.

    The good news: Got to meet Cameron and he was nice enough to sign my Sports Illustrated Preview Picture of him in his Marlins uniform. The first row seats behind the plate and the delicious hot dog and pretzel.

    The bad news: Cameron Maybin got the day off and did not play.

    Q knows Raynor and Harvey so he can post about them. He also met Grimes Medlin's cousin so he can update us on how Grimes is doing in college?

    Back with the big club

    He went 4 for 4 plus a walk today against the Astros. Is now 5 for 6 in two games since the call up.
