Clemson Softball in 2010?

    Has anyone else heard of Clemson getting NCAA Softball in 2010. Heard a rumor, but cannot find it anywhere on the web; not on the school site, ACC site or NCAA site. I feel like if this has truly been announced, there would be news in one of these three places.

    no, but I heard that UNC-C wants to have a div 1 football program.

    Eyesup:

    Clemson Class of 1989.

    Unfortunately these are just rumors. I spoke with the Assistant Athletic Director in charge of female sports and she confirmed that there are no plans to add softball at Clemson at this time.

    That is a shame - what a perfect fit softball would be at Clemson!

    .... was sport chosen instead of softball. Lake is close by, much less expensive than building softball complex. It's a shame they have such a good baseball program.
