BEST COACH IN THE STATE ???????

How many State Championships do you need to get recognized?
Ray McCrodden at Butler gets my vote.
Oh yeh, GURU is always at the top of any list.

 

Monte Sherrill and Mike Lambross. The two best HS coaches in the state. Their records speak for themselves. I'd also like to mention Brian Cottom at Butler. Butler was fortunate to get one of the better baseball coaches in Charlotte. Coach Cottom has been successful at every level he has been associated with. His softball teams at the middle school level were always unbelievably good.

 

I guess it would have to be the State Champion coach (at whatever level). Otherwise, another team would be State Champions. Right? It all comes down to the coach I've heard. I guess that makes all the other coaches "has beens" until the next tournament.

 

I guess the ? is : do you say some1 is great or not by the amount of state titles they have won or not won? If so..........

I agree totally with you, I am just not familiar with how many state titles Coach McCrodden has won, and I agree with braves Coach Sherrill & Coach Lambross possibly could be the most decorated coaches in the state, and Sherrill nationaly if you want to get technial...... I think Lambross has won 1 or 2 titles (correct me if im wrong) and Sherrill has won 6 state titles at 2 different schools (AC, CC) (and he is not that old), but it is all up for debate their is a lot of great coaches!

 

Now R We Talking About High School Or Any States ??

I have the priviledge of being part of a team that has won 5 States & 1 World..does that count ??? 2 ~NSA / 2~ USSSA / 1~WFC....and 1~WFC World...oh I forgot came in 5th in the NSA World in 2005 in Columbus,Ohio !!!-- Maybe it was 2004, Guru's mind is getting old !!!

 

WOW, That is very impessive, I guess we could be talking about any type of play, but I guess when I started the thread I assumed everyone would think HS. My bad. But still very impressive, are you not a HS coach?

No sir ... just a GURU playing ball with his DD,and some very talented girls that now partial of them have committed to college ball..it's funny the years that Charlie won the states we didn't, his girls were always a little older and better than we were, so we were glad when he went to the next age group...LOL !!!
