9-26 Varsity Scores...

Again, I never said anyone did a poor job officiating. I was STATING A FACT. I was amazed a high school team can go that long without a penalty. I NEVER said they cheated, were bad or anything of the like. I just shocked, especially when more then 1 official has stated on message boards that in high school holding could be called almost every play, but our opponents have had 1 ALL YEAR, in the first half of the first game. Our opponents have ran 225+ plays without a holding call.

One final note in the last 7 conference games ACR has played, the facts show ACR - 56 penalties, the rest of the conference - 28 penalties, with two teams having 0 penalties. Again I am not saying anyone is cheating, I am just amazed that our opponents have committed an average of just 4 penalties a game, and that is 7 different teams combined!

 

That does seem a little one-sided I must say. Oh well i guess when you've built the program you guys have that even the men in the black and white stripes want your number as well.

 

rocks23,how many of the last 7 conference games have you won 6 so even with the refs going against you are still winning,that says something about how good acr is,if the refs are against you i wish they do a better job lol.

 

What that shows is they have the talent to overcome the one-sidedness.....however, what if those overlooked holding calls or missed pass interference calls cost them a game or two later on just because the refs want to keep it "even"......Talent wise, ACR is always on top...the refs know this and they can control the game with flags.

i will say right now that no offensive holding penalties will be called in the game friday between acr and alexander central.in fact i will throw in freedom and mcdowell the next 2 weeks to boot.

 

that is what i was saying even if the refs do let things go and then make a call against acr they still win.if that does go on i don't think its to make it even i think its that they have something against acr,and that's not right.there kids work hard and should be treated like everyone else.if they don't like acr don't take it out on the kids that play the game.and it does no good for teams that beat acr if a team beats them as a coach i would want it to be because we were better that night

 

How did Shatley and the running attack look? I hate it that they couldn't tie it up and force another OT but it seems like they don't have a reliable kicker like they've had the last 10 years or so (at least one that can make an extra point!).

I see their former kicker is now starting every game at App (soccer though).

 

The regular kicker was out sick, That is all EB had was the running attack. No yards passing. I think 312 yards rushing, or somewhere close to that. Both teams played their hearts out that is for sure. Somebody had to lose.

 

Well they won't beat a really good team if they can't at least pose the threat of passing the ball. That's what got them into trouble last season.

Heck of a game though, hate that I missed it.

 

ill take this thread down after tonite. those charlotte-mecklenburg games that were moved from friday to monday to wednesday have now been moved to monday, october 6th.
