    Raleigh on US1 north...

    ...I was on E and struggling past the 3rd station with bags on all of their tanks. I had to settle at station 4 paying $4.05!

    On the way back home, I saw for the most part $3.89.:weeping:

    I wonder if State Farm would allow me to call my car a total loss if the gas tank is empty?

    Crude was below $97 yesterday. So I am sure gas prices will be coming down soon, right!!!!

    Seems there is always a reason for gas prices to be so high.........

    I read an article the other day that oil may drop as low as $70.00 / barrel but gas will never get under $3.00 / gallon------GO FIGURE !!!

    Availability is a little better here in the Asheville area this week.
    Last week was rough. The local community college closed for 2 days and the city and county governments were shut down on Friday and Monday.
    The long lines are shorter, but the price is still averaging about $4.09 a gallon.

    i've got plenty of gas, and it was free! actually a by-product from lunch.

    Be Careful!!

    When getting gas at these stations who are just refilling their tanks. We got some trash in our tank and after 2 new fuel filters we need a fuel pump. This craziness has cost us over $700 when all is said and done. All due to station's tanks running completely out, from what we were told. Mechanic says it causes all the trash in the bottom to be stirred up??? Don't know how to avoid it but just beware!!
