I think it is a little odd that Draughn isn't playing Freedom. With gas prices and just because they are in the same county, they should play.
Does anyone know why? Just curious.

 

Draughn only had 5 non conference
games listed, besides their own Christmas
Tournament...Four of those were against
Burke County schools and the other
against St.Stephens, which is about as
close as Freedom.

It's pretty simple--- Draughn isn't playing FHS for the same reason Patton's not...they don't want to.
Not a very good economical choice-those would be money games.

Draughn and Freedom should be playing this year.

Draughn should be pretty decent this year and playing a strong Freedom team would only help them in their conference play. Several of the girls came from EB but hardly any impact player from the boys side came from EB, so I wonder if that's more of a decision that came from the boy's coach.
