    The Blaze Black played long into the night coming back in the losers bracket to win the Myrtle Beach Shootout. We finally got home around 2AM this morning. Way to go Coach Dave Marko and staff. The girls played their hearts out and never gave up!!!!!:hurray::trophy:

    Great job ladies!!!! The Charlotte Blaze organization was well represented this weekend at Myrtle Beach!!! I had the pleasure to watch two of your games this weekend and you are a very talented classy group of athletes!!! Keep up the good work.

    Congrats to the Blaze from the Piedmont Storm . Had the privalege of meeting Coach Marko at the hotel we were at this weekend. Sounds like his girls met the challenge. Congrats again.

    Dave Marko is the best coach!! Those girls never gave up to win that championship. If you could have seen the determination that they had. That comes from good coaching. It was a late night and a long drive but it was worth every minute. 7 games on Sunday. GO BLAZE BLACK.

    top finishers

    1st place was the Charlotte Blaze Black
    2nd place was the Sandhills Slammers out of Columbia, SC
    3rd, I THINK, was the JC Clippers

    Results

    Overall:
    1--Blaze Black
    2--Sandhills Slammers
    3rd & 4th were from the yellow bracket--not sure of the outcome but one of them was the Pitt County Rockets and the other I believe was the Dirt Devils.

    Blaze Red moving up from 12U was in 3rd place in the White Bracket behind 1st Place Slammers and 2nd Place Blaze Black. Not sure of the 3rd place finisher in the yellow bracket.
