    2010 players

    I think another 2010 2nd baseman that I believe could easily be in Mustang's lineup and do very well is Steven Chipouras of Ardrey Kell. The kid quietly, consistently gets the job done and he can really smash the ball.

    Thunder 2010(s)

    Since we are talking about 2010(s) I will mention a few of my guys from the east.

    John Hunter - 3b / p - Perquimans - can flat out hit the baseball and sure handed at the hot corner. Only knock is that he has average speed. Great frame and is still just 16. Also plays QB. No personality issues. Works hard and plays harder.

    Evan Holton - ss / 2b - Lawrence Academy - hits for average and is super quick. Just turned 16 this summer. Great glove with above average arm but projects as 2b in college. Being recruited by several D1 programs.

    Chad Whitehead - C - Lawrence Academy - superb behind the plate with good pop times. Is a leader on the field and also a great teammate. Great knowledge of the game. Good hitter but can be streaky. The ability is there. Speed is average but I stuck him in center the other day and he ran down a deep fly to left center (great jump and instincts). Just turned 16 in July.

    Ardrey Kell infielders

    Hey Bonsway

    We here you all have a glut of 2010 infielders over there at Ardrey Kell - the ones in my list -Jack Reinheimer and Alex Baker - had great school ball seasons and summers and rumor has it both are major D1 prospects.

    Then you have Logan Ratledge (a sophomore) that PlayLaughLive mentioned, Steven Chipourous that you mentioned, and Cody Shelton who has also played outfield...

    Providence may be the team to beat this year, but you all look strong this year and set up for 2010 really well.

    We have our work cut out for us !!

    :hurray: It's a really tough position to be in, ain't it? I had not really seen Cody play much until this fall and he has done phenomenally well at 3rd. I was pleasantly surprised. We all know though, that you never really know how a season will shake out. I hope we remain competitive and have as much fun as we did last Spring.

    It always seems to come down to pitching.... good pitching beats good hitting most every time.

    semi agree with this line up.pitching although i think would be very suspect.
