In an earlier thread I mentioned that I was disappointed to not be in the recent Impact Baseball event held at ECU. My point was that I had emailed the organization several times with no reponse. The two names I had been referred to on the Impact Website for email were Jason Mills and Andy Partin. I have only spoken to Jason Mills once face to face and have never met Andy. My son did attend an Impact Workout last fall but I was in the stands and never met any of the coaches. I had just assumed that Impact Baseball might be familiar with my team since a couple of the kids that play for me had played for Coach Mills and my son had been mentioned as a top 20 prospect out of the group that attended the workout last fall. That's it. I was not mad or upset. I was pointing out that my fledging team is probably not known by anyone and therefore that's why I was never contacted about playing.

I have never typed, spoken, or even thought ANYTHING negative about Andy Partin, Jason Mills, or Impact Baseball (or any other program for that matter). Period. I have only been on this board for a few days. Are there any posts where I am running down anyone or any program? As far as I know Coach Mills is a great coach as evidenced by two state championships. The only person I have ever spoken to about him is one of his own players and he had nothing but good things to say. As for Andy Partin; I have never met him. I do not run people in the ground or say negative things about them; especially people I do not know. As for Impact Baseball, what little I know about them is positive. My son has been to a workout and is going to go again. Anytime an organization can benefit young men and their athletic goals then that is a great thing.

If anyone out here has an issue with me please feel free to send me a PM. I will gladly provide my personal contact information. Evidently there have been some comments made towards Impact Baseball and my name has been associated with those comments. Those accusations are about as false as they can be.

    You will find out

that there are people out there that will either misinterpret what you say to cause trouble or just because they think that it will advance their own cause.
Best bet is to keep it to yourself or make it so broad that it can't be pinned
    on one person or group.
    Good luck with your team.

    Thanks

Thanks 15. It is hard to determine tone and meaning in an email thread or post and I realize that things sometimes get misconstrued when passed from person to person. I definitely meant no one any harm with my posts about not being able to reach their organization. I will choose my words more carefully in the future.

With regards to the team I organized and all things baseball I have one purpose and one purpose only.....to benefit the players and the game. I give my time and money because I have a passion for baseball and truly care about the kids in my organization and all organizations for that matter.

The mission statement from Carolina Thunder:

Our Athletic Mission: To provide opportunities for young baseball players in Eastern, NC to showcase their abilities against high level competition for the purpose of improving their baseball skills and achieving their goals of playing beyond high school.
Our Social and Academic Mission: To encourage our players to work just as hard inside the classroom as they do on the baseball diamond while continuing to be positive role models for younger players and good citizens within their respective communities.
Started in the summer of 2007, the Carolina Thunder Baseball Club is a non-profit baseball organization established to carry out the athletic, social, and academic missions stated above.
