I am not going to list anyone for the rockets only because I am biased! These to me are the top three teams and the best players on these teams.

 

Faith Robbins at Glenn the best player in our conference and just about anyone at Mount Tabor.
Also a shout out to Casey Shiable at Parkland who will be going to Peace College next year to play volleyball.

 

Thank you for this thread. For those of us that don't know the players, it's great to hear who they are.

 

JH Rose from the Coastal Conference

1) Caroline Douglas Middle Hitter - Straight Medivel on her swing. Way more power than ANY Sophomore should have when she strikes. Wear it and like it.
2) Pammy Craigle Outside Hitter - Deceptive power. Her good timing and core strength puts her in a position to punish blockers. Junior
3) Emily Kneiderfor Middle Hitter - Another Junior (committed to ECU) with power and instincts. If she misses a kill - Lawd help you on her next shot. Like playing a video game and she powers up.

All three of these ladies play extreme blockage D as well as swing it.

And I could go on and on about the rest of this team... wicked service, they all know the game. Way more so than they should at this age...

Chapel Hill - Get ready.... you are on the clock.

 

EBHS #14, middle hitter Emily Greene is one to watch. She's a sophomore with height and a lot of potential.

I remember her. She should be outstanding next year. She had some pretty impressive stats.

Newton-Conover has some up and coming players with height. Strong freshman class. THey are a 2A team to watch for next year and should do OK in this year's playoffs.

Hickory has a strong front line with Hilton/Gibbs/Pisel--all over 6 feet. Hilton has power; Gibbs is a great blocker; and Pisel is a tall setter/RS. Two of them are named Anna. Don't know their numbers.

Erin Riley from Foard has good stats. Don't know her number.

 

#12 from Reynolds is Junior, Whitney Brinkley

 

Some Person Rocket Outstanding players

#15 6'2 OH-Junior, Katie Tatum- Katie is one of the Top Juniors in the state and is an awesome powerhouse hitter. I will have more on her after November 1st. She is the sister to Last years MVP in the State champoinship game Megan Tatum who is currently playing for Cornell University!

#4 5'10" MH/MB-Junior, Sarah Wrenn-Sarah is just an unbelieveable athlete with tremendous hops!! This girl can sky and was big in both of our playoff games at the net with some great blocking!

#8 5'5" DS/S-Sophomore, Marisa Moore-Marisa was the Rockets outstanding defensive specialist and was BIG for the Rockets in the two playoff games. Against WF Rolesville she had 19digs! IN our Retired coaches words (Sandy Matthews), Marisa reads the ball better than any player she has seen for Person on defense.

#14 5'8" S/OH-Junior, Anna Hayes-Anna was the Rockets main setter for the year and did an outstanding job! She is also a good outside hitter.
