Piedmont High School and Heat Showcase 09 standout Jim Lyerly commits to UNC Charlotte 49'ers. Jim has had a great year with the Heat shoring up that middle infield.

Congrats to the Lyerly family the 49'ers are getting one outstanding young man.

Way to go Jimbo! Looks like the heat is going to be represented all over the state. Good luck at UNCC.

    Congrats

Looks like the 49ers will have an abundance of local talent on their roster. In the next couple of years maybe names locally names like Basen, Lyerly, Pope, Roberts, and Shive will be on the tip of everyones tongues. Congrats to Jim and his family. Robert with both of your boys at UNCC, I guess I should buy stock in the local concrete company, because you will be pacing and wearing a path in the stands for a long time. Again congrats from the Roberts Family.

    Congrats

I have seen Jimbo workout for many years. He works very hard on his game and he always has a smile on his face. I am looking forward to seeing him progressing on his game at UNCC. Rob and Sandy, I know you are very proud of Jim, just as you are of Elizabeth and Rob. Great job!!!!
