    Not a "Sugar Mommie" but....

Braves, you know I am not a "sugar mom" by any means, but can't miss this opportunity to add a little to the post! What a lot of TBR guys and gals might not know is how much the boys have worked themselves, over the past two years since Coach Oz has come on board, to raise funds. To name just a couple of things - They work every home Panther game, and they work have worked the Nascar events at Lowes Motor Speedway for the last two Bank of America weekend race events in October of each year, along with the numerous race events held in May this past spring. And as someone who works the events, let me tell you that those race events are some lonnnnnnnng hours! Coach Oz has all the boys (both JV and Varsity) at all of the home games for the Panthers and at the Race events....promoting the philosophy that the if the boys want others to contribute to their program, they need to work themselves and raise as much on their own as possible. They are not just asking for handouts, they are working all these various fundraisers, while at the same time keeping up their grades and working on their game. Not an easy feat! Trust me, as a Wingate Bulldog baseball parent, I know the boys and coaching staff are grateful to all those who help, in whatever capacity. And us parents are grateful as well.

I can assure you they work hard at the Panthers game since I see them in my section. I don't know many of the boys but I know a few and I enjoy talking to them before each Panther game. Coach Oz is one of the best. I wish you all luck this weekend at your tournament. I'll see some of you on Sunday!

Redbirdfan- you are the sweetest of all the moms, so I bestow thee the Wingate Sugar Mom of the Year Award. You are so right about the boys. Coach Oz works them hard on and off the field (can't get into any trouble that way), but he asks his players to commit to the program and this is one of many ways he gets a chance to see that commitment.

    It's a top notch program

Hey Braves how did it go today with Wingate? I hope you had a good turnout. Local fellow from Graham is a freshman there, a real find for their program.

Man...it was great. A huge turnout!!!! The sun came out and warmed to about 70 degrees right before tee times. It looked like everybody had a great time. I couldn't stay around for the end. They had a beautiful truck they were giving away with a hole in one.....I don't know if it was won.

Thanks batnballs for your support. On behalf of Coach Osborne and his staff, he greatly appreciates yours and other members contributions to the program, The monies all go towards the baseball team's commitment towards their new Sports Center

.....and hey, if anybody has an extra $50,000 to play around with they are looking for naming rights.
