    Apology

    This is my first time coming back to the forum since my first post. I want to apologize to anyone that I offended. I did not mean to cause the ill feelings that I did. I have heard the same topic of discussion at games and thought it might make for some healthy debate. I am truly sorry. Good luck to all.

    McDowell loses to a team a team by 16 that Freedom beat. This is going to be a fun year in Burke County. The Lady Pats might beat McDowell by 30 this year, its going to be ugly. Look for the Freedom to be undefeated. They could be putting up another picture in the gym.

    bballvball;

    You must not have seen the score a couple posts above to ask that question. EB 55 --Draughn 29
    If Draughn loses to an EB team that was basically depleted (by the opening of Draughn) by 26 pts --all I can say is WOW and this is the UPSET of the season so far... Gravel--COY ?? or Draughns girls laying down for Murray?

    Draughn won by 4 at Draughn over EB, no

    excuses to get beat that bad at EB. Draughn got a couple starters from EB and a couple reserves who now start for Draughn. EB plays like Coach Gravel played- HARD and INTENSE and by the way, thats how she's coaching. At the first Draughn/EB game, I felt Draughn for the most part didn't play hard and hustle. An example would be not getting back on defense after EB broke their press. EB had alot of 4 on 2 or 3 on 2 opportunties. The Greene girl, I think that's her name has height and plays very hard as well as Baker and Byrd. A couple freshman play the same way, just an extension of their coach. Draughn can be good in their conference but they're going to have to pick up their intensity. How about Draughn's boys having a shot at winning after getting beat by 40 the first time against EB. Just goes to show you have to be ready to play every night.
