It's amazing what one can find on the internet. The American Baseball Coaches of America have named Ronald Vincent of Rose High School one of their Coaches of the Year. The ABCA has been around 61 years and have been instrumental in continuing education of all baseball coaches and have awarded prestigious people such as Tommy Lasorda, Cal Ripken, George Bush, etc.

    Congratulations Coach Vincent

    Congrats

To Coach RV. One of the nicest men you will ever meet. RV is a baseball junkie always around the fields working with young players and watching them play. You will not meet a better person in the game. Congrats to Coach.

RV's success and achievements as a high school baseball coach here in Greenville is just the tip of the iceberg on what he has meant to our community. It doesn't matter if your son is a 17 year old baseball stud or a 5 year old kid in T-ball, he will give his time and effort to both. I remember like it was yesterday RV taking time with my two sons who were 4 and 5 at the time. After he gave them some pointers, they said they were going to play for him one day at Rose. RV said that he would long be out of baseball by then. Well one son just finished playing for him this past spring and the other has one more year to have the honor to play for RV. He is more than a baseball coach here, he is a baseball icon for us. I am just sad that I have run out of sons to play for him.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for Coach Vincent (RV). One of the great gentlemen in high school athletics all over the state. All I can say is that he and Marvin Jarman make one of the best 1-2 combos in the state, I never see one without the other. This Gatorade Award is long overdue to not only a class man but a truly great coach!!

I could go on and on about how great a coach, guy and just plain old baseball guy he is, at the risk of being redundant... but I won't.

I will say this prestigeous award apparently came out on July 20 and this is the first I am aware of it. That itself, should speak volumes. The man is humble and his involvement with baseball is for the right reasons.

I like his wit, his attitude and his purpose. A good guy in the game.

    Congrats RV

Best Boss i ever had... He handled umpires for Babe Ruth in Greenville in the Summers... As a Freshman through Senior in College i could not have had a better boss... I umpired in Greenville from 1980-1983.. Great guy and unbelievable with the Players.. Glad to see you get the recognition you deserve..
