what I expected to happen. This just shows what terrific people baseball folks really are. My money is in the mail. Go ahead guys and gals and send it to that address posted. It has grown so fast I can not keep up with it.

 

Giving

I wanted to give a heartfelt thanks to everyone who has generously given to the Will Fund. To date, just over $4,000 has been given and pledged for this very special family. That's in just 5 DAYS! The generosity of this community and of our extended baseball family is incredible! Thank you, thank you, thank you! And most of all, thank you for the prayers!

 

Doug Collins notified me of this early this week. Check is in the mail from Doug and Myself.. He will be in our prayers!

 

Mailed my check yesterday. Hope to see Will on March 7th when AK plays Watauga. Stay strong young man.

 

Schedule

Can someone keep us posted on Will's babseball schedule. I know all of us will be playing but would love to be there for opening night if we happen to be off that night.

 

Watauga's schedule starts off March 3 at N Davidson, March 5 at Mt Tabor, March 7 vs Ardrey Kell at the Cary Olympic Complex and the home opener March 10 vs S Caldwell.

Word is the Dicus family will return home Saturday late (December 20) if chemo goes well Saturday morning. Will's had 5 days of radiation. Chemo started today Fri 3/19. His sense of humor sounds like it is running in high gear.

The donated money is so very much appreciated. I've talked to Will's mom several times. The many people they have never met - the kind and generous folks on This Board Rocks - giving the Dicus family this help, I think is almost overwhelming. Being very close to the situation, I know exactly how much your help has lifted this immediate financial crisis off their shoulders. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to each and everyone for helping my friends. Not only for the money donated, but for the prayers too. I know Will is fighting with everything he has. It wouldn't surprise me to see him on the mound sometime this spring. Let's all pray this happens.
