    Dear TBR Friends

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. I wanted to take one
second of your time to remind you about 2 key items with a big event on
January 24th, The Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League Dinner. This
preseason baseball dinner is the top night of the year for baseball in
Charlotte and it will be held once again at Carolinas Baseball Center. We
encourage all of our friends to support and attend this incredible evening
of baseball and support of the Miracle League (www.miracleleague.com). In addition to a wonderful dinner, a first class auction and raffle, we will have a couple of very special guest speakers; Former Major League All-Star Bryan Harvey and my one my closest friends, Wake Forest Head Baseball Coach RickRembielak. Also in attendance will be Major League Baseball players like TyWigginton, Gookie Dawkins, Dwayne Wise and local minor leaguers David Mailman (Providence High School) and Robert Woodard (Myers Park, UNC) among others. The Hot Stove League will also be awarding some of the top baseball and softball players in the area on this very special night.

While you are at www.hotstovedinner.com I hope you can go ahead and
purchase tickets to the event on January 24th. We sold the event out last year and hope to do the same again, so please don't wait. Take it from all of us here at Carolinas Baseball Center, this is a night you don't want to miss.

Having attended the inaugural dinner last year, I'd like to add my recommendation to that of Jeff's. As was the case last year, I look forward to catching up with old friends, meeting people whose names I've heard but never met, and making new friends...all of whom share the common bond of a love of baseball!

As Jeff mentioned, there are some terrific items available at the silent auction (I found and won the perfect Christmas gift for my son last year.); and, the net proceeds for the evening go to a very fine cause, the Miracle League.

It's a fun night at a time when most of us are feeling baseball-deprived!

This will be a great time !

This was great last year and should be even better this year:

-A charity worthy of everyones support.
-Some talks by some great baseball people.
-A charity auction of cool collectibles (they make nice gifts).
    -A great meal.
-Honoring some area young people that play the game.
-Spending time with people that love baseball.

What's not to love about this event? Lets all go and help support this.
