Yesterday sightseeing drove the family south more along the App mtns and ran into this JUCo who boasts one of the best programs in the south and nation, and watched them intrasquad for a couple of hours weather was great facility was great and so was the action. Took a look at their site and honestly had not caught a game LIVE anywhere in over a couple seasons! Boy, how refreshing yet disheartening as well BUT loved every minute of it! I d highly recommend this school to a HS player looking to move up and play at the next level!!!!! Nick Markakis is one of TWO or three current major league players on rosters and they have had several play at the next level. 100 % of their Juco players sign to play at the next level NUFF SAID!!!!!

    juco not much longer

You are absolutely correct in saying that Young Harris has a great tradition and great program, however they are making the transition to a 4 year institution within the next couple of years. Not sure exactly why but they are. I also hate to tell you that the weather you experienced there will not last obviously. I have been there in February to play and there is nothing great about the weather there then.

The class of 2013 is the first class that has the choice to choose whether they want to go 2 years or the full 4 years. Young Harris will be a Division II team. Two kids from the area are there right now Kenny Swab, who was an All-Conference player last year at Young Harris and will be going to UVA next year and his younger brother Robby Swab is now a freshman there.

Aggree, coach Robinson has certainly posted a impressive record at YHC.We have the upmost respect for what he has been able to do for this highly respected program. The school and coach Robinson have truely been one of real bright spots in the college process for my son.
