Again, I would caution anyone about buying a composite bat right now, better to sit back right now and see what ASA is going to do....

The Lady (and I mean that in every sense of the word) who owns the NCHSAA Homerun record (Landon Warren) used a Rocket Tech and is now using a DeMarini Phoenix.

As one of the guys at Grand Slam stated last night... If a girl is a hitter, it doesn't matter what bat she uses!

Is it the bat or is it the person using the bat. I know there are alot of good bats out there. I bought my daughter a Stealth last fall and she hit real well with it. I also bought her an orange Catalyst and she could'nt hit squat with it. IMO sometimes a certain type of bat will give that person confidence knowing she has a top of the line bat.

without the basic mechanics, it becomes somewhat closer to luck than skill. a girl with good mechanics and skill can anything thrown her way no matter what bat she is using. the best hitters i've been in contact with can take a broom stick and hit a bean back at your head (which is why i now wear a face shield during this drill). taylor queen was one of those hitters, as was randi pruitt. some bats will finish better than others, but when it comes down to it, YOU have to start it on its way, and good mechanics make it consistant.

    Inside Track on Combat

I have spoken with Tiffany and Johnny Mac regarding the Combat FP and Morp Products and according to ASA TEST the FP and the Morph are both approved but we all know how the ASA Testing can change.
They are supposed to be 2009 Approved list.

By the way I hope you guys like my color designations For the Products. :pepper:

    Huh??

Not sure where you are going with this.....bat is a bat....some might perform better than others, but if your swing is good... results are good...

My job would be very easy if all I had to do was supply a good bat...

The bat doesn't make the batter a hitter.
The hitter doesn't make the bat better.
The better bat doesn't make the badder batter a better batter.
But the better bat makes the better batter a better hitter.

One of the things to consider is what happens after the ball is hit when determining which is the better bat. There are, of course, other considerations such as length, weight (especially), end loaded or balanced, etc.

You also usually get what you pay for. Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's good; but if it's inexpensive it's probably not good.

We have a good instructor out of Wake Forest (Chuck). She had hit really well with him in practice, but in games she did'nt (confidence). Chuck had said that once she got confidence, she would be a solid hitter. I bought her a Stealth last fall. She was thrilled. Her first tournament she went 17 for 19. She was on her way. It may not be the bat per say, but it was the confidence builder she needed by getting that Stealth. So to say your job would be so much easier if all you had to do was supply a bat was not what I had said. Confidence is a big issue with some players trying to get over a hurdle. I have seen some girls with great swings with good instructors, but they don't hit.
