Weddington High School 3B/1B Brad Collins committed to Gardner-Webb yesterday. Brad played for both the CBC Cougars and the South Charlotte Panthers this past summer.

CBC couldn't be any prouder of you B-Rad...Weddington's most wanted! You have worked so hard and it has payed off. You earned that scholarship and the opportunity to play Division I Baseball. Be proud of yourself! You are proof that there is no substitute for hard work! Hustle-Heart-Desire....oh yeah and red hair

Dave and Jane...Congrats...now get some sleep Jane!

Coach Stroupe you have landed one of Charlotte's top players and even better for your program you are getting a leader and a great kid.

Congrats to Brad. This is one of the nicest young men I've met in the game. Brad is relentless in his effort to work on his game. Very level headed, never gets rattled no matter what the game situation. In my opinion he's one of the best in the area of the 2009's. Gardner Webb scored big in getting Brad Collins.

Congratulations Brad. Hard work pays off, that plus a front page story in The South Charlotte Sports Report is bound to attract a college offer :)

See you guys Saturday Night at The Hot Stove Dinner

Congrats to Brad and family. Brad has worked extremely hard over the last year; the results are incredible and well deserved. I still remember that blast he hit during the SW4A Conference tournament at UNCC last year, WOW! Good luck this spring and in the future.

Dave- as I mentioned to you through a private message, I am extremely proud of the hard work Brad demonstrated over this past season. Not having seen him in awhile, I barely recognized him.

What an outstanding opportunity that he has before him. There are some players that you cheer a little more loudly for...Brad Collins is one of those players.

Congrations to the Collins' family....they can now collectively exhale!!!!

Forgive me; this picture is big. Talk about being coachable. Watch Brad's eyes. You can tell he was paying attention to everything Freddy was saying
