NW4A Week 7 Schedule...

Maybe not the whole game. South jumped out to a qucik 9-0 lead on FHS. Probably a career night for Hall with 32 points for South, but Ford matched her with 30. Conely- 13, Walker-12, Connelly-11, Surratt- 8. FHS had several chances to put SC away but did control the majority of the game. 45 fouls were called in the game. 1st half South got every call and the second half FHS got almost every early call. I'd say the fouls were about even. Good game though. Freedom now sets their self up for a showdown with McDowell if both teams win on Friday. MHS has SC and FHS travels to AC.

 

I don't think either team played too good, McDowell did play a lot better defense though, the final score was closer than the game was. Good job Lady Titans.

 

good game at FHS tonight. as posted earlier, the officials dictated most of the game. the Hall and Sams girl have to be put in the All conf. category convo now. with them and the Gross girl they are pretty hard to handle.. should be interesting how the rest of the year plays out.

 

FHS lead anywhere from 10-18 points maybe 20, and won by 9. The game was exactly as close as the score indicates. Although SC has plenty of depth it is at the guard position which showed when the foul trouble came. Congrats to FHS on a good win. Please don't make excuses for winning. That is why our students behave the way they do. "I know you won but you were cheated." Come on praise your teams efforts.

 

Due to the 2-3 inches on snow on the roads still and they 4-6 on my poarch, the Watauga vs AC Reynolds matchup for tonight has been moved to Monday Night February 9th at ACR. Game times as normal.​

 

First timer

First time on TBR, friend told me about it and have been going back to read all the old stuff. I love it. My granddaughter played in the NW4A and now I go about every Tuesday and Friday to watch games all over the conference. Had the opportunity to watch the Freedom vs. South Caldwell game last night. Impressive start to the game by SC but even more impressive night by Freedom after falling behind early. Alot of fouls caused by alot of aggressive basketball. Both teams played really hard. Great win for Freedom over a very good South team in my opinion. Looking forward to continuing to read the posts on this site about the NW4A. Especially the girls games.
