great game tonight at ac. back and forth the whole game. both teams made huge plays. great effort on both sides. the atmosphere and intensity couldn't have been any better. congrats to both teams. did watauga beat east burke tonight or was it ac reynolds ? im assuming east burke but when will they make up the game that was cancelled because of snow ?

 

Watauga beat East Burke by 8 in overtime 77-69. GREAT game as well.

Game vs. Reynolds will be made up Monday.

if watauga can get past acr monday,that will set up a huge game tuesday when ac comes to boone with 2nd place on the line.and congrats to ac on there big win over freedom.

great win by AC..huge shots in the 4th qtr by daniel racuchser it was great to see him hit those shots and hargrave refused to let his team down on senior night...one of the best crowds ive ever been apart of...keep it rolling ac.coach wills had the bois ready to play he should def. get some COY of votes after that big win...

 

Not to be overlooking the Watauga game with AC Reynolds tomorrow but, Tuesday is HUGE!!! Winner gets the 2 seed unless the loser or EBHS wins the conference tournament.

I think this is what we all have waited for this year. Watauga vs Alexander, the rivalry, in such a big game for both teams. Should be a great crowd Tuesday.

 

Watauga has been the biggest story IMO in the conference this season...don't think too many expected the Pioneers to be where they are right now. Jeff Newell has been a big part of your success. If I had a vote for Conference P.O.Y. Newell would get serious consideration.

 

I agree with you about Newell. He finds a way to get the job done every night. I am very impressed with the way Newell and Watauga have been playing. Tuesday night is going to be huge! Lets hope that Newell and his Pioneers can pull out another big one!
